Cinetopia in Progress Ridge, BeavertonLet’s face it—going to the movies is expensive. By the time you buy a ticket, and a refreshment or two, you’re out fifty or sixty bucks, minimum. Then, you get to reward yourself by cramming into a crowded theatre in a scrunched up seat with stale popcorn, where you sit for two hours and then head home, a little cranky and sore.

If you’re going to spend your hard earned money, you may as well see where your money is going and feel good about having spent it.

Cinetopia has several locations in the Portland metropolitan area, including in the Beaverton neighborhood of Progress Ridge. The Progress Ridge Cinetopia is not only easy to get to, but also has the largest IMAX screen this side of OMSI, concessions that would cause Wolfgang Puck to salivate, and seats that recline, allowing you a luxurious movie viewing experience.

Arrive early. Take a drive through the magnificent Progress Ridge neighborhood and admire the view and the wide homes overlooking the city and the valley below. Find parking, buy your ticket, and then enter into the unique world of Cinetopia.

The walls of Cinetopia feature a local artist each month. Check it out and, if you like what you see, make an offer and take it home with you. Stop in and have a beer and appetizer in Vinotopia, a fine restaurant and bar. Maybe you were fortunate enough to get one of the thirty seats available in the movie parlor, where you can watch a film from the comfort of a couch.

Before entering the theatre, grab a menu from a welcoming staff member. Order a nice cheeseburger and fries with a side salad— the staff will bring it to your seat so you don’t have to get up and miss a second of the movie. Full service like this is just one of the things that make Cinetopia the best cinematic experience in all of the Portland metropolitan area.

The main amphitheaters are large and designed in such a way that, no matter the height of the person sitting in front of you, you can see the whole screen.  The chairs are tall and the aisles are long and wide, making travel to and from your comfy seat easy.

Cinetopia in Progress Ridge, like the neighborhood it resides in, is classy and sophisticated, yet easy going and laid back. The staff is friendly and always smiling.

So, for a fantastic and memorable cinematic experience, make your way over to Progress Ridge and experience Cinetopia.
